Kenneth J. Douglas

Ken joined Bruner-Cox LLP in 2009. Ken is responsible for numerous audit engagements including, Department of Labor employee benefit issues, financial accounting analysis and process improvement studies. He has assisted clients with financial statement audits and reviews, OMB Circular A-133 audits, accounting consultation, internal control reviews and agreed-upon procedures. Ken is a member of the Firm’s Health Care Services Group and Not-For-Profit Services Group.

He has 26 years “Big Four” experience with Ernst & Young in Northeast Ohio, providing audit and accounting services. During his career Ken has focused on clients in the not-for-profit and health care industries. In addition, Ken has extensive experience related to employee benefit plan audits, serving as the final technical review partner and team leader of related audit peer review quality teams. He had been responsible for providing annual audit and technical accounting training to more than 300 audit personnel each year while at Ernst & Young.

He is a graduate of The University of Mount Union with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting.

Ken is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Ken currently serves on the Jackson Local School Board of Education and is a member of their finance and audit committees. He is also on the board of directors for Goodwill Industries. Ken is past treasurer, leadership chairman and allocations chairman for United Way of Greater Stark County. He is a graduate of Leadership Stark County, a member of the current Leadership Akron class, and he is actively involved in several other community and civic organizations.
