CPA, MSA, Managing Director, CFS of Northeastern Ohio, Ltd.
Evelyn joined Bruner-Cox LLP in 1995. She started as an accountant at the Firm, but was offered the opportunity to start the Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) of Northeastern Ohio, Ltd. office in 1996. As managing director of CFS, she manages the operations and growth of the organization. She uses her knowledge of the accounting function, and experience as a hiring manager to ensure the businesses CFS serves are provided with quality temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire placements that fit well into each organization.
Evelyn’s efforts have helped CFS expand to include three Northeastern Ohio locations and eight staffing consultants.
Her background includes more than 13 years of experience in the financial services industry where she served various managerial positions including director of internal audit.
Evelyn is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. She also earned her master’s in accountancy from The University of Houston.
She is a member of The Ohio Society of Public Accountants, Institute of Management Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Evelyn is also a frequent speaker on issues relating to employment and careers.
Evelyn is treasurer of The Ohio Association of Executive Search Professionals, serves on the Stark State College of Business advisory board and is a board member for the YWCA. She is the at-large director of the Akron Chapter of The Society for Human Resource Management and treasurer of the GlenOak High School Roundtable Club. Evelyn is a founding member of the Women’s Impact Initiative. She is also past director of academic relations for the Institute of Management Accountants.
