Dave joined Bruner-Cox LLP in 2010. Dave has more than 20 years of tax experience. He assists individuals and corporate executives with respective tax planning needs. He has extensive experience with individuals, corporations and partnerships, and the taxation of pass-through entities, including trusts.
Dave provides specialized corporate tax and business advisory services to closely-held businesses in diverse industry groups, including services, real estate, construction, manufacturing and oil and gas. He manages the overall tax planning, compliance, and research of related matters to engagements. Dave also assists in the representation of individuals and companies in actions before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and other governmental or regulatory bodies.
Before joining Bruner-Cox LLP, Dave held previous positions as senior tax manager and tax consultant with several regional and international accounting firms in Northeast Ohio. He has presented at numerous seminars on the topic of tax legislation and related matters for many organizations.
Dave received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Taxation degree, both from The University of Akron.
Dave is a current member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and past member of The Tax Club of Cleveland. He also participates in The Akron Tax Club and the Tax and Estate Planning Council of Akron, where he was past president. Dave serves on the boards, committees and councils of numerous local affiliations, including the Greater Akron Chamber, where he is part of the small business council and government affairs groups. He serves as current president on the Copley Fairlawn School Foundation Board.
