CPA, TAX PARTNER
Dave joined Bruner-Cox LLP in 2007. He has more than 14 years of “Big Four” public accounting experience in taxation. Dave provides tax advice and consulting services to publicly traded companies, privately-owned businesses, and individuals.
His tax experience includes accounting methods, inventory (including LIFO), IRS examination representation, state tax planning and reorganizations, internal tax planning and reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions (including experience with private equity transactions), FAS 109-accounting for income taxes and S-corporation planning and taxation.
Dave serves as the partner in charge of the Firm’s tax practice, including international tax services. He is a member of the Firm’s Manufacturing and Wholesale-Distribution Services Group.
He graduated Cum Laude from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.
He is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Dave serves as an instructor for the AICPA on topics such as international tax, S corporations and partnerships. He is also the international tax representative for the Northeast Ohio Advanced Planning Council.
Dave is a member of the 2007 inaugural class of the Akron Chamber of Commerce “30 for the Future,” an award presented to 30 professionals under the age of 40 to recognize their achievements and roles for future success in the Akron region.
Dave is a member of his church’s finance committee and is a former trustee of the Stark Development Finance Corporation.
