Scott joined Bruner-Cox LLP in 1982. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting, graduating with honors from The University of Akron.

Scott provides complex tax and business consulting as well as financial planning services. He frequently consults with clients on matters such as:

• income and estate planning
• financial and retirement planning
• general business planning
• succession planning 
• incentive compensation planning

He has received the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Scott is a member of the Firm’s Construction and Real Estate Services Group and the Manufacturing and Wholesale Distribution Services Group, which concentrates on internal and external education related to industry trends.

Scott is a member of the Institute of Estate Planning Advisors, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Section. Currently, he serves as treasurer for the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater Stark County and the North Canton Education Endowment Fund. He serves as vice chairman for the Stark Development Board Finance Committee and the North Canton YMCA. Scott is also a member of the Canton Rotary and the Kent State Stark Corporate and Community Services Advisory Board.
