CPA, TAX DIRECTOR

Karen is a director at Bruner-Cox LLP. She joined the Bruner-Cox LLP tax department in 2000 and has 25 years of experience serving clients in a variety of industries. Prior to joining the Firm, Karen worked as a tax consultant partner for a local accounting firm and has also spent three years serving as the Chief Financial Officer for a major wholesale-distribution company.

Karen specializes in providing tax compliance and planning services to individuals, partnerships, fiduciary and corporate clients. She is a member of the Firm's Construction and Real Estate Services Group and the Health Care and Nonprofit Services Group, which concentrates on internal and external education related to industry trends.

Karen is a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelors Degree in accounting and has also earned a Bachelors Degree in economics from the University of Hawaii.
 
Karen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA).

She previously served on the Editorial Advisory Board for the “Ohio CPA Journal” and the State Tax Committee for the OSCPA and is a past member of the board of trustees for the Alliance Community Hospital.

Karen is a member of the Accounting Advisory Board for Stark State College of Technology.
