Karen joined Bruner-Cox LLP in 2000. She is a graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and also earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Hawaii.

Prior to joining the Firm, Karen worked as a tax consultant partner for a local accounting firm and also spent three years serving as the chief financial officer for a major wholesale-distribution company.

She has 25 years experience providing tax compliance and planning services to individuals, partnerships, fiduciary and corporate clients. She is a member of the Firm's Construction and Real Estate Services Group, the Health Care Services Group and the Not-for-profit Services Group.

Karen is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

She previously served on the Editorial Advisory Board for the “Ohio CPA Journal” and the State Tax Committee for the The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Alliance Community Hospital.

Karen is a member of the Accounting Advisory Board for Stark State College of Technology.
