CPA, MSA, Director CFS of Northeastern Ohio, Ltd.
As director of CFS, Evelyn manages the operations and growth of the organization. Her background includes over 13 years’ experience in the financial services industry where she served in various managerial positions including director of internal audit. In 1995 she joined Bruner-Cox LLP as an accountant and was offered the opportunity to start the CFS office in 1996.
Making the transition from accountant to financial recruiter was a natural for Evelyn. She has used her knowledge of the accounting function and experience as a hiring manager to ensure the businesses CFS serves are provided not only quality temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire placements, but people that fit well into each organization.
Evelyn’s efforts have helped CFS expand to include three Northeastern Ohio locations and eight staffing consultants. Evelyn graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and earned a Master’s degree in Accountancy from The University of Houston.
She is a member of The Ohio Society of Public Accountants, Institute of Management Accountants, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Evelyn is also a frequent speaker on issues relating to employment and careers.
Evelyn is treasurer for The Society for Human Resources Management, serves on the Board of Trustees of the Domestic Violence Project of Stark County and is a past board member and treasurer of the Habitat for Humanity. She is past board member of the Community Planning Committee for United Way and past vice-president of Education and Professional Development / director of Academic Relations for the Institute of Management Accountants.
